Frequently Asked Questions

Does FieldDims automatically measure real-world distances?

FieldDims allows you to place dimension annotations on photos and enter measured values. Measurements used for construction, fabrication, installation, safety, or other critical purposes should always be independently verified on site.

Does FieldDims require an account?

No. FieldDims does not require a FieldDims account to organize your local projects.

Where are my projects stored?

FieldDims project data is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly export, back up, or share it.

Can I use both metric and imperial units?

Yes. FieldDims supports metric and imperial dimension formats.

I accidentally deleted a photo. Can I recover it?

Where supported in the app, check “Recently deleted photos” within the project tools. If the photo is not there, re-import it from your photo library if it still exists there.
