These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Astral Ming website and services available at astralming.com (the "Service"), operated by Astral Ming ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Astral Ming provides traditional Chinese astrology (BaZi "Four Pillars" and Zi Wei Dou Shu) chart calculation, AI-assisted interpretation, compatibility analysis, and report generation.

The Service is provided for entertainment, cultural interest, and self-reflection purposes only.

2. Important Disclaimer — Not Professional Advice

• Astrology, BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, and related interpretations are traditional cultural practices and are not scientifically validated.
• Content generated by the Service — including AI-assisted interpretations — is for entertainment and self-reflection only and does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, career, relationship, or any other form of professional advice.
• You should not make significant life, health, financial, or legal decisions based solely on the Service's output. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters.
• AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any interpretation.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Service, Access, and Usage Limits

• The app and its core features — account, life timeline and reflections, chart calculation, reports, and AI mentor — are provided to you to download and use at no charge, with no in-app purchases.
• AI mentor usage is subject to the daily limit shown in the Service. We may adjust free limits to prevent abuse or protect stability, with reasonable notice where practicable.
• Optional lifetime access may be offered as a one-time purchase completed on our website (astralming.com), not within the app. Payment is processed by our merchant-of-record payment provider (Lemon Squeezy), which handles card details; we do not store full card numbers. Pricing, the contracting entity, payment terms, and refund rules are shown at checkout before any purchase is accepted.
• Optional paid access is a license to use the Service as provided and is non-refundable except where required by applicable law or by the payment provider's policy. It does not constitute a guaranteed outcome or any form of fortune-telling or prediction.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its systems, or other users' accounts;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service (including automated scraping, excessive API requests, or attempting to bypass rate limits);
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Service's source code or algorithms;
• Upload or transmit malicious code or content;
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity;
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or that promotes harm.

7. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, charts, and methodology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
• Your chart results: Reports and interpretations generated for you are provided for your personal use. You may save or print them for personal reference, but you may not resell or commercially exploit them.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party services, including authentication, AI, hosting, and optional platform speech recognition. We are not responsible for their independent availability or content; their own terms and policies also apply.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE FREE SERVICE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through your account settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or if required by law.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Certain provisions of these Terms (including disclaimers, liability limitations, and intellectual property) survive termination.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, in the competent courts of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
